Air Exchanger System Cleaning

air exchanger system

Why is it important to have my air exchanger system cleaned?

HydroKleen Atlantic offers Air Exchanger System Cleaning to help keep you breathing healthy air. You can reduce the number of allergens and dust in your home with regular maintenance of your air exchanger system. Additionally, routine cleaning will keep your system running efficiently and lowers the risk of breakdowns. As a result, you will save money in the long run.

Our professionally trained technicians will clean the air exchanger box inside and out, including all attached ducts from end to end. Thus, providing you with a complete system cleaning. We use an industrial vacuum with a special attachment at the end called a “skipper ball.” Our technician runs the vacuum hose through the duct while the skipper ball gently rolls around to knock loose any dirt attached to the duct walls.

Maintaining Your Filters

Air exchanger filters are your first defence against dirty air. However, a clogged filter slows down your system and blows the contaminants throughout your home. Some air exchanger systems have a reusable filter. In this case, you may clean your reusable filter with water and a soft brush. Allow your filter to dry thoroughly before placing it back into your air exchanger. Other systems have disposable filters, which you may be able to purchase through a local retailer or on Amazon. First, consult your system’s manual for which type of filter it requires before purchasing.

The above is a general guideline – please check your filters often to ensure they are not filling up more quickly than expected.

A homeowner should not attempt to clean the air exchanger box or attached ductwork. Consequently, you could cause damage to the fragile ducts and fan fins. HydroKleen Atlantic technicians have the proper equipment and skill to provide a thorough air exchanger system cleaning that will not damage your expensive appliance.
